About COMO Soapworks
Our Story
It all started in our garage. A project share with my daughters, to recreate the scents of soaps and lotions we have experienced in our travels. I travel a lot for work, and often bring those hotel mini's back for the kids to use. Compared to most of the stuff we see in the shelves here in the Midwest, the products in Europe, Africa and Asia smell so much more natural, less synthetic, and we wanted to recreate that experience at home
Our Ingredients
We began with a recipe off the internet and made our first bottle of liquid soap. we dabbled and decided to move to all natural detergents as a base, and to keep the soap PH neutral so ensure it wasn't harsh on our skin. We explored different scents made up from essential oils, and used friends and family to help decide which scents worked, and which did not. We then started playing with Bath bombs, body butters, lotions and candles. as natural as possible, all hand made, here in Columbia, Missouri
Our Mission
Our mission is to produce bath products and candles that make people smile when they use them. We want our customers to feel connected to our local brand and proud to share our product as a gift which celebrates our home town (and the Mizzou tigers of course).
